PRODUCT REVIEW
Three power modes, one button, zero faff - the kit that makes switching from disposables genuinely easy
Price: £11.99 Type: Compact Pod Kit Rating: ★★★★☆
Aspire have been knocking out solid vape hardware for a long time now, and the Gotek X3 is exactly what you'd expect from them - straightforward, no drama, does the job. Eleven quid ninety-nine puts it firmly at the budget end but pick it up and it doesn't feel like it. The 1200mAh battery sees most people through a full day without thinking about it, the three power modes mean you're not stuck with one setting for everything, and there's genuinely nothing to figure out. Coming from disposables? You'll be vaping within about thirty seconds of opening the box.

Key Features
Three Power Modes - Eco, Normal, Max
Single button, three modes, each one actually different from the last. Eco is for when you're out all day and nowhere near a charger - it backs off the power to keep you going longer. Normal is your everyday setting, nothing fancy, just a decent vape. Max turns things up a notch when you want more flavour or a bit more vapour. Straightforward and it works.
1200mAh Battery - All-Day Use
For the size and the price, 1200mAh is a decent amount of battery. Most people vaping at a normal rate will get through the day on one charge without stressing about it. If you're a heavier vaper you might want a top-up by late afternoon, but at least it's USB-C so you're not scrabbling around for some ancient cable.
Mesh Coil Pod System
The included 0.6Ω pod uses a mesh coil design, which means better flavour and more consistent vapour production than older wire coils. When the flavour starts to drop off, you replace the whole pod - no coil swapping, no mess, no fiddling. Aspire recommend a 50% VG e-liquid for best results.
Adjustable Airflow
A slider lets you dial in your preferred draw, from a tight MTL inhale that feels close to a cigarette through to a more open RDTL style. It's not built for full DTL cloud chasing - this is a discreet, everyday device - but it covers both major vaping styles comfortably.
Draw-Activated - No Button Required to Vape
Just inhale and it fires. The single button is only needed to switch power modes or wake the screen. For anyone coming from disposables, this feels completely natural from day one.
Compact and Pocketable
Thin enough for a jeans pocket, light enough that you stop noticing it's there. The little screen on the front tells you what you need - battery level and which power mode you're in - without turning the thing into a dashboard. Exactly as much information as you actually want.

Who's It For?
The Gotek X3 is a great fit if you:
• Are switching from disposables and want something familiar and easy
• Want a lightweight, pocketable everyday kit without overthinking it
• Prefer draw-activation over button firing
• Are on a budget but still want mesh coil flavour quality
The Verdict
At £11.99 the Aspire Gotek X3 punches well above its price. The three-mode power system gives you real flexibility, the mesh coil pod delivers flavour that belies the entry-level price point, and the draw-activation makes it as intuitive as a disposable. If you want to step up from single-use devices without a complicated setup or a significant financial outlay, this is a very sensible place to start.
