Are you taking part in the GFN in 2024? If so, it’s time to book your tickets to Warsaw…
The GFN conference will be held in Warsaw this summer. In stark contrast to the exclusion tactics used by other organisations, the Global Forum on Tobacco have been actively inviting as many participants from across the world as possible.
The GFN want vape device users, disposable device users, and vape juice experts. They want cloud chasers and competition vapers, they want those who vape with nicotine and they want those who vape without – all to go and join them for this epic two day event.
This year the Global Forum on Tobacco are taking on the themes of economics, health, and tobacco harm reduction. Since vape device use is intrinsically linked to smoking cessation – even performing better than other NRTs in clinical trials – then they want you to weigh in on the great debate about tobacco harm reduction and its relation to vape devices.
The main aim here is to urge people to make the switch from combustible tobacco products to alternatives which are deemed safer. Although vaping is at the head of this list, you could expect to find nicotine gums, inhalers, and even imitation vape necklaces and fidget toys aimed at helping you stop.
Subjects under discussion at the annual GFN include the potential costs of prohibition, a cost benefit analysis of safer nicotine products, and discussions on both the science behind safer vaping and the persistence of societal denial that vaping is better for you than smoking.
In short, the discussions taking place at GFN 2024 are focused on the positive application of vape devices as a smoking cessation aid. A sceptic might compare this to the UK government’s recent taxation announcements and wonder which policy is better: prohibition or moderation?
This Warsaw event will host Q & A sessions every day, aimed at stopping the spread of misinformation. The public will be invited to attend presentations from organisations involved in smoking cessation – including vape corporations. Panel discussions will take place where public opinion may be invited at the end. The talks, of course, will be given by professors and experts in their fields, as well as representatives from vaping organisations across the globe, such as the NNA.
This is the 11th annual Global Forum on Nicotine and will be held in the Warsaw Marriott Hotel. Taking place over two days, expect to leave this conference feeling educated, reassured, and unwaveringly certain that E-cigarettes are better for you than standard cigarettes.
